2012 was a great year for Scratch Cradle with over 30,000 views! The Genetics Mini-Series was a big hit, and the fall leaves post was featured on Community Chickens. The most popular posts this year were Chick Sexing Techniques, GMS1: Genetics of Egg Color, and Using Fall Leaves.
2013 is already looking very exciting! There are already a few HUGE projects underway:
- I’m working on an e-book to be published later this year! You can still download my free e-book, Scratch Cradle’s Guide to Incubation, anytime to get ready for hatch season.
- I’m selecting between a few ideas for a new article series!
- Depending on how things go, I may begin a breeding project!
- And the biggest news – I’ll be moving! Not the blog, but my actual place of residence! Follow along as I sell some of my stock and potentially move some chickens with me. (We’ll see about this!) I’ll also be designing and building my new coop and run, building up my new flock, and adapting to a new environment.
Thank you all for reading. I always look forward to your comments, and I enjoy working on this space. Leave me a comment if you have any ideas of articles or series that you would like to see – no promises, but I would love the feedback!
Have a safe and happy New Year!
Heather of Scratch Cradle

All the best to you and yours, Heather! We’ll be following along and keeping you in our prayers!
Thank you, and the best to you, too! Hopefully we can get in another visit or two this spring.
