Wheaten Roo’s New Home

I must say I adored my little Wheaton Ameraucana rooster.  He was my one little yellow chick this spring, as you may remember.  He  was a very aware, dominant little guy.  Still, he crowed – A LOT – pretty much all day.  And any time he heard human voices talking, whether that was us trying to converse with a neighbor or the distant radio of workers repairing a patch of the nearby railroad.

I put an ad on Craigslist, and within 24 hours, a woman contacted me wanting him to put with her Wheaton Ameraucana hens!  I met and spoke with her to give her my little guy, and I am thrilled and relieved that he went to such an awesome home.  My little guy, on the other hand, was so nervous to be handed over that he was shaking.  I tried to reassure him, but I know he will eventually love the move.  He’ll be fathering a generation of Wheaton Ams this spring, and I know he is up for the job! 😉

    • I will definitely take a look! I am excited about the EOs. They are beautiful and productive, but I can’t wait to see their friendly personalities for myself! I’ll be hatching out EOs from Skyline this spring, and I almost can’t wait! Thanks for sharing yours! 🙂
